Operating Engineer Apprenticeship

Trade Skills:
Operating Engineers primarily work in highway construction or site preparation. Apprentices learn to operate and maintain a wide variety of machines to excavate and grade earth or hoist and erect structural and reinforcing steel. Equipment training includes backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, front-end loaders, power shovels and scrapers.

Length of Training:
3 year apprenticeship

Program Information:
Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a High School diploma or GED. A Colorado driver's license and CDL eligibility is required to apply.
