C.N.A and H.H.A. Registration Opens August 2

Registration for Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide will open Monday, August 2, 2010 and continue until all fall 2010 and spring 2011 classes are full. Please come to Emily Griffith Opportunity School to register for your classes.

As some of you know, there is no Nursing Assistant wait list this year. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis starting August 2, 2010. However, we will be registering students for classes for the entire school year. In order to save your spot in the class you will need to register and pay. After registering, if you decide to not attend the class, we request that you drop the class at least two business days prior to the first day of class in order to request a refund from the Treasurer’s Office, Room 239.

2010/2011 Tuition and Textbook Costs:

  • Nurse Assistant: $430 plus textbook $125

  • Home Health Aide: $430 plus textbook $45

  • Home Health Aide Extended morning class: $778 plus textbook $45

The textbook does not need to be purchased at the time of registration; you may purchase your textbook in Treasurer’s Office, Room 239, at a later date. Textbooks are required the first day of class.

At the first class meeting, be prepared to show documentation of your TB test, Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check (www.CBIrecordscheck.com), student picture I.D and receipt of payment. Disqualifying factors on a Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check are listed here on this webpage. You will need to check your background check as soon as possible or at least two weeks before the class starts.

Please note: if your Colorado Bureau of Investigation Background check has any Disqualifying Criminal Offenses you may drop the class and receive a full refund provided the request is made at least two business days prior to the first day of class. If you do not drop the class before the two days before class starts than you forfeit your registration and payment for the class.
