Emily Griffith High School

The Emily Griffith High School is a drop out retrieval program offering courses toward the completion of a high school diploma. The school is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI) and through the Denver Public Schools (DPS) which authorizes the regular high school diploma. Entrance requirements for Emily Griffith High School:

  • High school dropout of at least two to four months;

  • Transcript from former accredited high school.

Emily Griffith Adult High School

This program is offered as part of Emily Griffith High School. Adults (age 21 and older) may enroll in the high school and complete courses to earn a high school diploma.

Denver Public Schools Concurrent Enrollment

Denver Public School District Concurrent Enrollment makes funding available for qualified high school students to attend college classes at Emily Griffith Technical College. Students earn transferable college credits, elective high school credits, and could possibly earn an industry recognized certificate which is extremely valuable for future employment. This is an exciting education opportunity for many students to earn college credits and skills that will make them employable while they are still in high school.

GED Preparation (CAL/GED) (Age 17-20)

The Computer Assisted Learning Lab in room 225 offers software programs to help students, 17 to 20 years of age, improve basic skills as well as to prepare students to take the GED. Skills covered are reading/vocabulary building, writing, and math. Students are assessed before placement in the lab. The lab is open during the day Monday through Friday and in the evening Monday through Thursday.
