Did you know?

Did you know that over 1,000 refugees find hope, as well as a new home, in Denver each year? The Language Learning Center is here to help these newcomers adjust to the changes that they encounter. We offer free English classes and job-skills training programs to refugees. We are honored to assist these individuals who have been on a long and tumultuous journey to make it to Denver. Their eagerness to learn is a driving force in our program.

Fast Facts

• The Language Learning Center teaches English to over 1000 refugees every year.

• Refugees arrive in Denver from all over the world, including Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the former Soviet Union.

• Many refugees arrive speaking little or no English, but after studying at Emily Griffith are able to find jobs in just 6 months.
