Pharmacy Technician Program
This certificate program prepares students to take the national pharmacy technician certification exam offered from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB.org).
Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists with technical and detail- oriented tasks in both community and hospital pharmacy settings. Students learn skills to assist with the preparation of oral and intravenous medications, filling prescriptions, and use of automated dispensing machines. Pharmacy technicians can work in hospitals, retail stores, neighborhood pharmacies, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and mail-order facilities.
This program is offered in a online/hybrid format with fall & spring start dates. Students will take three five-week instructional sessions in one semester and two five-week experiential sessions during a second semester.
