Ability to Benefit (ATB) Policy and Procedure
The assessment center administers a variety of academic and career/technical assessments for the purpose of placing students in academic and career/technical programs.
To be in compliance with federal regulations, Emily Griffith Opportunity School requires ATB testing of all students who indicate a career/technical objective and who do not possess
a high school diploma or GED.
The ATB assessment instrument we use is the ACCUPLACERspecifically the Reading Comprehension, Arithmetic, and Sentence Skills portions of the test.
