Career Development Center

Of the Emily Griffith students who completed career/technical training programs, 90 percent became employed. The Emily Griffith Career Development Center assists students in finding employment through:

• Job-seeking skill workshops

• Job placement counseling

• Resume writing and job skills classes

• Job fairs for only Emily Griffith Students

• Maintains job board

• E-mails job information to students

Industry-Based Internships

• College of Business and Technology students call: 720- 423-4804

• Health students complete a clinical as part of their program.

• All other students call: 720-423-4745

Resources:

• The Career Development Center websitelists job fairs and other career-related events. The website also contains over 400 job links that provide up-to-the-minute information on job openings in local businesses.

• The Emily Griffith Opportunity School Library (located on the 3rd floor) also publicizes a list of Career Resources including helpful techniques on career selection, job searching, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and job posting sites.
