Denver's West High School Aircraft Maintenance Program![]() See West High School's Aircraft Maintenance Website Students are introduced to hands-on technical training while increasing their awareness of careers in airframe and powerplant maintenance. High School students can start as early as their junior year and by graduation will complete 26 college credit hours and 450 hours of aviation maintenance training. It also establishes a valuable pathway for high achieving students to begin their aviation studies while in high school and simultaneously begin their college education at Emily Griffith Technical College where they can complete the remaining airframe and powerplant training at the Aircraft Maintenance Training Center located at Front Range Airport. After completion of the program students can transfer 25 credit hours to Metropolitan State College or up to 42 hours to any Colorado Community College. The Federal Aviation Administration certifies the Emily Griffith Technical College aviation program.
